Generative Parametrics, in partnership with our client, had designed and refined over four generations of helmet, guided by extensive rider feedback, and industry insights including NASA safety technology research.
For the fifth-generation helmet, the approach was transformative. Every aspect of safety, performance, comfort, aerodynamics and manufacturability, was re-evaluated, ensuring the product set a new standard for motorcycle helmets.
Engineering the Future
The vision for the generation 5.0 helmet demanded a complete engineering overhaul.
Generative Parametrics used advanced 3D modelling to reimagine each component and integrate pioneering new features, including:
- Seamless Audio Integration: A high-quality audio system embedded without compromising the helmet’s aerodynamics.
- Optimised Ventilation: Enhanced airflow systems that balance comfort and noise reduction.
- Distinctive Customisation: Unique design elements, including customisable spoilers and blanking plates, for a tailored rider experience.
From Prototypes to Perfection
Testing and refinement turned bold ideas into a market-ready helmet.
A prototyping phase was critical for validating the helmet’s innovative features. Ventilation systems, the visor mechanism, and the integrated audio system underwent rigorous testing to ensure they met safety standards as well as rider expectations.
To streamline production, Generative Parametrics developed a tagging system for each component which enabled precise assembly while maintaining the structural integrity and aesthetics that defined the product.
