Curves entwining elegantly. Water arcing dramatically. Colours illuminating contours. That's the Arches of Oman: a stunning 12-metre high water sculpture, conceived by sculptor Giles Rayner, and situated in the country's capital, Muscat.

What did it take to deliver Giles’ dream? A multinational, but mainly British, team of experts, led by Commission Director, Julian Glyn-Owen.

At Generative Parametrics, we were proud to be a major part of it. Why? Because the project gave us the opportunity to explore an exciting new area. To deliver an artist’s vision by applying the same experience gained working in automotive, telecoms and specialist industrial sectors. And to create a sculpture on time that’s perfect in every way (through our unique processes, which automatically and rapidly generate flawless components, based on a design’s fundamental geometry).

For us, the task was different. But the same rules applied. Now the results are there for all to see.
