Turning aerodynamic ambitions into buildable parts

The client had refined the aerodynamics of front and rear brake ducts, an air induction system, front bumpers, trims and body kits for a supercar and motorsport brand.

The next step was to turn those surfaces into parts that could be tooled, moulded and assembled reliably at production scale.

The approach

Building manufacturing needs in from the start

The client supplied computational fluid dynamics surfaces, which we mapped into our proprietary design engineering models, known as Power Copies.

Our models generate designs ready for manufacture and update them instantly as projects evolve. They allowed us to convert aerodynamic surfaces into injection-moulding-ready parts quickly, while building in fixation, location and assembly requirements from the start.
